To run a MM cartridge, you might want to go to a Linn tonearm or any tonearm that has proven to work on a Linn turntable. People over at the vinyl asylum have rewired these tonearms and mounted moving coil cartridges on them claiming good results. It seems that Thorens accidentally designed a good tonearm for the time but it is a bit heavy for many MM cartridges. I have no personal experience with the TD-150 MKII but people seem to like the stock tonearm if in good condition.
